FastTrack
is an exciting opportunity for you to earn the top-ranked
MLIS degree from the University of Pittsburgh without disrupting
your career, your family, or your life. This program
has attracted motivated learners from more than 26 states
and even from countries outside the U.S. You’ll
be learning and interacting with a diverse group of adult
learners from all walks of life so that -- even though you
are not seated in a class with other students and an instructor
-- you are not alone as you go through the educational process.
Students in the FastTrack program are part of a cohort that
will progress through the program together.
During the first term, the new cohort of FastTrack students
will meet in Pittsburgh to complete course requirements, get
hands-on computer training, and become acquainted with each other,
the School’s faculty, staff and other FastTrack students.
It’s a great chance for you to meet and network with members
of your cohort. In each of the subsequent terms, FastTrack students
come to campus for a weekend to meet with the faculty and other
students in their cohort.
We are thrilled that you would consider the FastTrack MLIS program
as a way to improve your career prospects and hope that you will
join us in the very next cohort! If you have any questions,
please contact us at ftinfo@sis.pitt.edu. We’re
ready to help you take the next step in your educational journey.
I look forward to meeting you in the near future and hope that
you’ll join us in the FastTrack MLIS program at the University
of Pittsburgh’s School of Information Sciences.
